Traditional rulers in Katsina State have commended the Military, Department of State Services (DSS), and local vigilante groups for preventing another mass abduction attempt by armed bandits in Bakori Local Government Area. The state government had previously praised the security agencies for thwarting a similar abduction in Gidan Iyado, Kakumi Ward, within the same LGA, where 18 bandits were killed by a combined security team. Speaking on Thursday, the district head of a major town in Bakori LGA expressed gratitude for the continued collaboration among security agencies, traditional institutions, and local communities, which has helped stop attacks on farming communities.
