The Oyo State Government, led by Governor Seyi Makinde, has dropped its plan to export maize to Botswana. The government said feasibility studies showed stronger prospects for cassava. The decision was based on the studies, which indicated that cassava has better potential. The government will now focus on cassava instead of maize for export.
