The police command in Kano State has reiterated the ban on Durbar and horse/animal-riding activities across the state, warning violators of possible arrest and prosecution. Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu-Bakori gave the warning at a news conference on Friday in Kano. He said the ban, imposed by the Kano State Government after consultations with security stakeholders, remains in force and is binding on everyone regardless of status. The commissioner noted that reports of apparent breaches prompted the restatement of the directive, adding that the threats the ban was meant to check are still potent.
