Lyft's car-rental arm, Flexdrive, has opened an 80,000-square-foot facility in Nashville, Tennessee, to service self-driving cars. The depot, a former US Postal Service facility, will charge, repair, and clean autonomous vehicles from Waymo, which is backed by Alphabet. Waymo's robotaxis will begin using the facility later this month to support their operations in the city. The investment reflects the infrastructure needed for the growing robotaxi industry.
