Kenyan runner Naomi Korir has recounted her battle with stigma and illness on her journey to the Commonwealth Games. Born with a congenital fistula, Korir suffered continuous urine leakage due to an abnormal opening between her bladder and vagina. She underwent three surgeries and overcame a difficult childhood medical condition to reach the final of the mile at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
