Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved Monday as a work-free day for teachers to mark World Teachers' Day. The holiday coincides with the 5 October 2026 date of World Teachers' Day. The governor extended his best wishes to teachers across the state for their contributions to human development. The state government made the announcement in a statement.
