2027: Prepare for your resignation – NDC tells Wike

The Federal Capital Territory chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to prepare for resignation. This follows Wike's statement that he would resign if President Bola Tinubu loses the FCT and Rivers State in the 2027 presidential election. The NDC reacted during an engagement with the Apo Mechanics and Traders Association on September 30. Wike had said he would announce his resignation on January 17, 2027, if Tinubu fails to win in both areas.
