A fresh communal clash between Amaeze Aguleri and Umuoba Anam communities in Anambra East Local Government Area has left one person feared dead and several others injured. Several buildings, including a microfinance bank in Aguleri, were reportedly set ablaze during the violence. The incident is believed to be linked to a longstanding land dispute that dates back to 1999. The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the death and said it has deployed personnel to restore peace.
