Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, in a post on his verified X handle, referenced Tinubu's argument that past governments postponed difficult economic decisions and allowed distortions to deepen. Onanuga stated that previous administrations focused on symptoms while allowing structural weaknesses to take hold, spending enormous sums on inefficient arrangements and passing consequences to future generations.
