Activist raises concern on judiciary under military and current democratic dispensation

Prominent journalist, activist, and lawyer Richard Akinnola has expressed concern about the current state of Nigeria's judiciary, stating that it was more independent and fearless under military rule than under the current democratic dispensation. He noted that while some judges are hardworking and independent-minded, a few politically compromised ones have become the face of the judiciary. Akinnola made these remarks after participating in the Health of Mother Earth Foundation's Book Day event in Benin City.
