The Lagos State Athletics Association has honored Nigerian sprint sensation Ajayi Kanyinsola for his international achievements. Ajayi, who hails from Ikorodu in Lagos, represented the state at the 2022 National Sports Festival in Asaba, winning a gold medal. He currently holds the Nigerian national record in the men's 100m with a personal best of 9.84 seconds. The recognition took place in the presence of his family and young athletes.
