NNPC Ltd is set to invest an initial $10 billion in the OgunLNG project in Ogun Waterside, Ogun State, as the project enters a revival phase. Governor Dapo Abiodun disclosed that NNPC has begun discussions with the state government. A traditional leader described the proposed $7 billion Gateway Deep Sea Port and Blue Marine Special Economic Zone as a boost to Nigeria's maritime and industrial capacity.
