Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mbah has called on Nigerians to collectively build a nation that earns the patriotism of young people and makes migration a choice rather than an escape route. He spoke in Awgu during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch C Stream of National Youth Service Corps members deployed to Enugu State. Mbah emphasized that Nigeria's youth population can only become a demographic dividend if the nation creates education, skills, jobs, enterprise, and institutions that enable young Nigerians to convert their energy and talent into productivity and prosperity. Meanwhile, the state government has intensified efforts to prevent conflicts and disease outbreaks that could undermine the World Bank-supported Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project.
