Former Nigeria international Sylvanus Okpala described the performance as the worst he has seen in a long while, stating that the team lacked tactical discipline, a solid defense, and any discernible match plan. Okpala made these remarks in an interview with Sports Vanguard. The team is scheduled to play a friendly match against Russia on October 6.
