Abesan Housing Estate: Fears, trepidation over government’s demolition threat

Residents of Abesan Housing Estate in Lagos are expressing fears and trepidation over a government demolition threat. In November 2017, the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment demolished illegal attachments, shops, kiosks, and containers described as nuisance within the estate. Landlords and tenants now fear a similar exercise about nine years later, potentially on a larger scale.
