FRSC confirms 20 dead in multiple crashes on Plateau route

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed that 20 people died in a multiple road traffic crash on the Hawan Kibo-Jos route in Plateau State. According to Corps Public Education Officer Mr Osondu Ohaeri, the crash occurred at about 3:32 p.m. after Sopp Water Falls and was likely caused by brake failure and loss of control. Four vehicles were involved: a Howo Sino truck, a Toyota Corolla, a Toyota Bummer bus operated by Yankari Express, and a motorcycle. Of the 25 people involved, 20 males died and five others (three males and two females) sustained injuries.
