Former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan, and Yakubu Gowon have paid tribute to the late Rev. William Okoye, former Chaplain of the Aso Rock Villa Chapel and General Overseer of All Christians Fellowship Mission. At a Night of Tributes held at the National Christian Centre in Abuja, Obasanjo described Okoye as a statesman of faith and a fearless voice of truth, recalling their close working relationship between 1999 and 2007. Obasanjo noted that Okoye provided wisdom and guidance during high-pressure situations and understood that genuine gospel ministry must address the material realities confronting the people.
