Two individuals from Heipang District in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State were shot dead by suspected gunmen at a mining site near the boundary between Kuru Jenta in Jos South Local Government Area and Heipang. The incident occurred around 11:30 pm on Friday while the victims were at the mining site. A community member, Weng Bulus, confirmed the killings and condemned the attack, cautioning residents against engaging in mining activities at night. Bulus noted that the victims were at the site during a state government-imposed curfew and urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid movements during restricted hours.
