Nigeria's business activity expanded while household confidence weakened, according to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Meanwhile, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that headline inflation eased marginally to 15.39 per cent in August 2026 from 15.43 per cent in July. Month-on-month inflation fell more sharply to 0.71 per cent from 1.57 per cent.
