Maria Polansky worked seven days a week, juggling a job and a side hustle, while her husband couldn't work. She felt pressure to stay on top of finances. Now, her husband has a corporate role, and she is giving herself permission to work less. Polansky started freelancing eight years ago while working a visual merchandising job in Vancouver, and later moved to the UK. The pandemic gave her time to build her portfolio while furloughed from her full-time job.
