Former Senate Leader Ali Ndume has commended President Bola Tinubu for fulfilling his pledge to increase the salaries of Armed Forces personnel. Ndume, who represents Borno South, gave the commendation in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Saturday. The Presidency had in September announced a new salary package for certain categories of military personnel, with increases ranging from 30 percent to 80 percent depending on rank. The package is expected to raise the annual salary bill from N660 billion to N924 billion and benefit over 250,000 personnel.
