Oyo corps members’ abductors threaten to kill victims; parents face N1bn ransom demand

Parents of 20 abducted prospective NYSC members have reported that the captors are threatening to kill the victims if a N1bn ransom is not paid within 24 hours. The abductors have demanded N50m for each victim. The parents visited the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, along with the Oyo State Commissioner of Police and the Aseyin of Iseyinland, to seek urgent intervention. The graduates were abducted on Thursday while travelling from Ibadan to their NYSC orientation camps.
