Parents of prospective National Youth Service Corps members abducted by gunmen in Imo State have accused Eduak King Transport Company, which conveyed their children from Ibadan, of withholding vital passenger information. The parents visited the company's office at Samonda, Ibadan, seeking the next-of-kin list of passengers aboard the vehicle to contact other affected families, but the company refused to provide it despite the emergency. One affected mother, Mrs Iyabo Akande, whose daughter Kehinde Marufat Akande was among the abducted graduates, called on the Inspector-General of Police and the government to intervene. The development raises fresh questions about the transport firm's handling of the incident.
