Vice President Kashim Shettima has defended President Bola Tinubu's economic reforms, stating that Nigeria was on the verge of collapse before the withdrawal of fuel subsidy and the unification of exchange rates. Speaking after a meeting with Tinubu in Lagos, Shettima urged Nigerians to be patient with the President, whom he credited with saving the economy. He noted that the administration has been in regular contact with Tinubu during his time abroad, updating him on national developments.
