Kidnappers Give Parents of 20 Corps Members 24-Hour Ransom Ultimatum

Gunmen who kidnapped 20 prospective National Youth Service Corps members in Abia State have given their parents a 24-hour ultimatum to pay ransom. The parents were asked to pay N1 billion each for the release of their children. The parents visited the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, along with the state Commissioner of Police and the Aseyin of Iseyinland, to seek intervention. The gunmen contacted the parents using the mobile lines of the kidnapped prospective corps members.
