Gov Inuwa: Boko Haram weakened, not defeated

Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has stated that Boko Haram has been weakened but not defeated. He spoke during the 13th meeting of the Northern States Governors' Forum in Maiduguri, where he also serves as chairman. The governor noted that banditry and communal clashes are emerging as new threats, and that insecurity has left many displaced citizens unable to return home. He added that critical regional projects, including the Mambilla hydropower project, regional railway connections, and broadband expansion, remain unrealised amid health and educational deficits.
