Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, accused President Bola Tinubu and his associates of ingratitude towards former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. Galadima made the allegation during an interview on the Naija Unfiltered Podcast, stating that El-Rufai contributed to Tinubu's victory in the 2023 presidential election. He also claimed he warned El-Rufai to go on exile after his relationship with Tinubu soured. Galadima said he had publicly expressed concerns about El-Rufai's situation in interviews with the BBC and Nigerian television stations, and claimed to have approached former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso.
