OpenAI has globally launched two new shopping features for ChatGPT, including a Try On button that allows users to upload a selfie or full-body photo to see how clothing and accessories might look on them. The features are powered by OpenAI's new ChatGPT Images 2.5 model, which the company says delivers more realistic lighting and textures. A Business Insider reporter tested the tool on jewelry, daily outfits, a wedding dress, and a cat, finding that simple accessories and clothing rendered with impressive realism. However, complex looks such as a Halloween costume fell short, producing inaccurate garments and altered body proportions.
