President Isaias Afwerki of Eritrea and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi held extensive talks in New Alamein City on 3 October. The discussions covered the enhancement of bilateral ties, regional and international developments, and other matters of mutual interest. President Isaias highlighted the convergent positions of Eritrea and Egypt on regional matters, particularly respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations and non-interference in internal affairs. President el-Sisi emphasised the historical and strategic ties between the two countries and reaffirmed Egypt's readiness to deepen bilateral relations through economic cooperation.
