Fidson Healthcare, a Nigerian pharmaceutical company, has been selected as one of several manufacturers from multiple countries to produce a generic influenza antiviral under a global licence. The selected manufacturers are based in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Uganda, Ukraine, and Vietnam. This selection allows Fidson to manufacture the generic version of the antiviral, potentially increasing access to treatment in Nigeria and other regions.
