Prominent leaders of Nigeria's ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State have petitioned the party's National Working Committee (NWC) to suspend former state chairman Austin Agada. The petition, signed by National Organising Secretary Sa'idu Muhammad and dated 28 [month incomplete], accuses Agada of anti-party activities, including fraternising with the 'Rainbow Coalition' and endorsing candidates from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), such as Senator Abba Moro. The Rainbow Coalition is a support group for FCT Minister Nyesom Wike aimed at backing President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027, but it has caused unease among some APC governors due to its support for non-APC candidates in certain states. The petitioners are seeking Agada's immediate suspension over these allegations.
