The Zamfara chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the state government to review what it described as exorbitant political campaign permit fees. State ADC Chairman Kabiru Garba made the call in a statement issued in Gusau on Saturday. Garba urged an immediate review of the process to ensure transparency, noting that the Zamfara Urban and Regional Planning Board had issued a letter dated September 25 containing approved rules and permit fees for political campaign activities for the 2027 general elections. The ADC acknowledged the government's responsibility to regulate public spaces but expressed concern over the scale and nature of the fees.
