The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, has called for support from international partners to establish vaccine manufacturing facilities in Nigeria. She made the appeal at the 8th Nigeria Pharma Manufacturers’ Expo in Lagos, organized by the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Group of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and PGE Expo Pvt Ltd. Adeyeye noted that such facilities would accelerate NAFDAC’s efforts to achieve World Health Organization Maturity Level 4 for vaccine lot release. She acknowledged the continued support of international partners in attaining Maturity Level 3 and urged them to contribute to fill-and-finish modular vaccine manufacturing.
