The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its response to Rotimi Amaechi's reported difficulty in affording medication for his late mother. Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communications of the ADC PCC, described the APC statement as political cruelty. He said the APC turned a family's bereavement into partisan ridicule. Shaibu noted that the APC's criticism missed the broader issue of Nigerians struggling to afford healthcare and basic necessities.
