Gunmen have reduced the ransom demanded for the release of 20 kidnapped prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members from N50m to N5m each, bringing the total amount to N100m. The kidnappers had initially set a 24-hour deadline for the payment of the N50m ransom, which expired on Friday. The reduction comes amid ongoing negotiations for the release of the abducted individuals.
