New army formations operationalised in four states – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced that the Nigerian Army has operationalised new formations in Zamfara, Kebbi, Oyo, and Osun states to strengthen security responses and bring troops closer to vulnerable communities. He said the government is also fast-tracking the construction of new military barracks and depots in Abuja, Ekiti, Ebonyi, and Kogi states, with the project in Osun State already completed. Tinubu noted that the measures are part of efforts to provide better support and infrastructure for the Armed Forces. He also mentioned that servicemen and women have shared the impact of the recent pay increase.
