Professor Anthony Kila has rejected a publication that described him as a "fake professor," stating that the characterization was inaccurate, misleading, and damaging to his reputation and professional standing. In a statement responding to the publication dated October 3, 2026, Kila affirmed that he remains a professor and stands by the academic and professional credentials on which his professorial title is based. He argued that the report was based on an incomplete understanding of the nature, origin, and institutional basis of his professorship. Kila, who is Pro-Chancellor of Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, Delta State, and Director of the Commonwealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studies, said the matter should be assessed on the basis of relevant facts and supporting documentation.
