Minister of Works Dave Umahi has predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will significantly increase its support in the South-East in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking on Channels Television's Sunday Politics, Umahi said President Bola Tinubu will secure far more votes in the region than in the last election. He expressed confidence that the APC could win all five South-East states, stating, "My faith is telling me we'll win the five states." Umahi also dismissed suggestions regarding Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
