The Kwara, Ekiti and Oyo State governments have declared Monday, October 5, 2026, a work-free day for teachers. The decision is to enable teachers to participate in activities marking this year's World Teachers' Day, which is observed globally every October 5. In Kwara State, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq made the announcement in a statement issued on Friday by the Deputy.
