The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted an Italy-bound businessman with 4.8 kilogrammes of cocaine concealed in shoe soles and travelling-bag rails. The agency also seized illicit drugs worth more than N5 billion at seaports, destroyed 20,234 kilogrammes of cannabis, and arrested a fugitive who had evaded trial for six years. The operations spanned international entry points in Lagos and Rivers, as well as drug-producing forests and distribution networks across several states.
