The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council has criticised Vice President Kashim Shettima's claim that President Bola Tinubu saved Nigeria from economic collapse. The council argued that the current administration could not disown the record of the APC government under former President Muhammadu Buhari. It said Shettima's assertion that Nigeria was heading towards 'Caracas' before Tinubu assumed office was an indictment of the Buhari administration. The reaction was contained in a statement issued by the Director of Media and Publicity of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Kola Ologbondiyan.
