Fidson Healthcare Plc has been selected as one of eleven manufacturers from nine countries to sign sublicence agreements with the Medicines Patent Pool (MPP) to develop and manufacture generic versions of baloxavir marboxil, an influenza antiviral. The agreements are part of MPP's voluntary licensing arrangement with Roche. The Executive Director of MPP, Charles Gore, stated that this work is critical for pandemic preparedness and will involve close collaboration with manufacturers on product development and regulatory processes.
