Deputy Inspector-General of Police Frank Mba (Rtd) has emphasized the need for the Nigeria Police Force to adapt to increasingly organized, technology-driven, and borderless crime. In commemoration of Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary, he noted that crime in Nigeria has evolved beyond traditional offences like robbery and burglary. Mba called for stronger investment in technology, intelligence, specialized training, digital forensics, and international cooperation. He stressed that the country's policing architecture must evolve faster to stay ahead of criminals.
