Two people were killed when two tankers conveying petroleum products collided and burst into flames near the Odukpani Local Government Area Secretariat in Cross River State. The incident occurred on Sunday morning, and the resulting fire destroyed several shops and parked vehicles. The Cross River State Police Command confirmed the incident as a road traffic accident. According to the command's spokesperson, ASP Eitokpah Sunday Akata, the conductor of one tanker died on the spot, while the driver, who was hospitalized, was later confirmed dead.
