Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2027 general elections, has called on Nigerians to prioritise national unity and elect a leader capable of bringing the country together. He made the call during a global digital town hall held virtually on Sunday evening, where he addressed Nigerians at home and abroad about voter mobilisation, election security, and safeguarding the electoral process. Obi emphasised that a divided nation cannot achieve substantial developmental progress. He also urged citizens to protect their votes by staying at polling units until ballots are counted.
