Zamfara @30: Insecurity easing, economy recovering – Gov Lawal

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal said the state is gradually overcoming insecurity and rebuilding its economy through reforms and interventions. He spoke at the Gusau Trade Fair Complex during the joint celebration of Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary and Zamfara State's 30th anniversary. Lawal noted that the state had endured years of banditry, which disrupted communities and claimed lives. He said his administration established the Community Protection Guard to complement conventional security agencies and has expanded tactical logistics and patrols.
