The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, in collaboration with the African Peer Review Mechanism, UNDP, AfriCatalyst, and other partners, is convening the 2nd Africa Annual Conference on Credit Ratings in Mauritius from 5 to 6 October 2026. The conference, themed 'Towards Developing African Capital Markets: Rechanneling Africa's Capital,' will bring together policymakers, financial regulators, investors, credit rating agencies, and development finance institutions. Discussions will focus on how stronger credit-rating systems and deeper capital markets can support domestic resource mobilization and sustainable development across Africa.
