Court Orders INEC to Upload Olawepo-Hashim’s Name as Accord Party’s Presidential Candidate 

Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to upload the name of Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as the Accord Party's candidate for the 2027 presidential election. The judge declared that Olawepo-Hashim was lawfully nominated as the party's presidential candidate. Olawepo-Hashim had sought an order compelling the Accord Party to recognize him and forward his name to INEC. The court agreed that the primary election that produced him was lawfully conducted and that the purported cancellation was not communicated.
