A suspected military helicopter crashed on Monday in Igbokoda, the headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State. The helicopter reportedly went down in a swampy area opposite the Naval Base, causing panic among residents. The Chairman of Ilaje Local Government Area, Mr Maurice Oripelaye, confirmed the incident, stating that the helicopter had burnt to rubble and that military gear was found at the scene. The number of personnel on board and their identities have not been officially confirmed.
