A military aircraft has crashed in Igbokoda, headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Monday morning in a swampy terrain opposite the Naval Base. The incident caused panic among residents of the coastal community. The Chairman of Ilaje Local Government Area, Mr Maurice Oripelaye, confirmed the incident, stating that the aircraft was burnt in the accident and that military gear was recovered from the crash site. The identity of the plane and the number of personnel on board had yet to be officially confirmed.
